White and Soft Blue Wedding at Aberdeen Marina Club

An intimate and romantic wedding for a sweet couple, Vivian and Joseph, held at the Aberdeen Marina Club Portside earlier this month.

A white lantern with wreath arrangement on the reception table to welcome guests.

When deciding on the colour palette, it is important to consider the venue and this wedding is a perfect example. The venue is by the sea and the decor has a nautical vibe with wood furniture and sofa and cushions in sea stripes. The couple went for a white and soft blue palette and everything was in harmony with each other.

Centerpiece is such an important element as guests spend most of the night at the tables and they also completely transform the ambience of the whole reception. There were both round and long tables and it had been lovely designing centerpieces for this wedding.

Flowers at different heights lined along the long table.

Mixed flower arrangements included Garden Roses, Spray Roses, Amaryllis, Lisianthus and Matthiola with silver julep cups of Phalaenopsis, Tulips and Spray Roses.

And centerpieces for the round tables. Candles always add a cozy touch and floating ones in blue coloured water surrounded the flowers.

Simple yet elegant white Phalaenopsis. Vivian loves Lily of the Valley, so they were placed in mini glass bottles and adorned all the tables, what a special treat for all the guests!

And the most exciting of all, a sweetheart table! Love them as they are awfully romantic. The bride and groom can share private moments during dinner but can also go around and mingle with guests throughout the night.

A tall silver vase arrangement with matching julep cups of flowers for the couple to enjoy.

Sweet Mr & Mrs wood letters to complete the table setting.

Details are what make a wedding unique and there were such lovely ones including burlap table mats, light blue napkins, matching menu and also personalised sweet brown paper boat place cards with polo mints strung on striped twine for each guest! All designed and done by White Bridal Couture

Last but not least, flowers for the dessert table.

White Bridal Couture planned this fun and romantic wedding and also designed all the lovely details.

Favors by Mustard Seed Workshop and cupcakes by Sift.

Hearty congrats again to Vivian and Joseph!

Inspirational Monday No. 6 - Moss

Hello readers! It has been raining non stop recently and noticed a little something had sprung out from the cracks on the roadside earlier and yes, it's green moss.

For any couple who's planning an outdoor, natural or rustic wedding, green moss makes such a lovely detail.
We love both fresh and preserved moss and there are so many ways to incorporate them into weddings. Little items that can be DIY'd such as table numbers, initials of the couple, frames, ring pillow and moss covered pots for plants as wedding favours. Adore the moss in little glass bottles as escort cards on the top left corner! Or create an impact with larger items such as a base for the wedding cake or even table runner.

And the good news is if you go for preserved moss, which can feel and look very much like fresh moss, they can be done in advance and can be little items to keep after the wedding.

Soft and Sweet Pastel Bouquet

A soft and sweet pastel bouquet with the most fluffy and romantic flowers, including  peonies, David Austin Juliet garden roses, lily of the valley, spray rose and freesia. Apart from looks, the bouquet also got such a lovely fragrance that will put any bride in a good mood.

The bouquet was adorned with long flowing satin and chiffon ribbon and fringed lace. This suits clean and elegant wedding gowns perfectly.
